Tires leak air over time.
Road bike tires air pressure. So you can inflate the road bike tires up to the maximum limit on smooth tracks 130 psi and lower it on rough surfaces. Your tire pressure is the biggest influence on your bike s ride quality and handling. To find your bike tire pressure you initially need to know what tires are on your bike. Hi i m looking for air pressure recommendations.
Road tires typically require 80 to 130 psi pounds. Recommended air pressure for tubeless tires road bike. In drizzly or rainy weather also lower the pressure by 10 psi for improved traction. High air pressure works well on smooth tracks meant for triathlon or time trial but you need to lower the pressure up to 10 psi while riding on rough road surface.
For example on my touring bike when not loaded and just my body weight and bike weigh calculated using 32 wide tires i use 45 psi front and 70 rear but if i add 55 pounds of gear for touring i now have to raise that psi to 60 f and 90 r. I m running schwalbe pro 1 25mm tubeless on my new road bike. There was a time when most riders would opt for 23c tyres on the road pump the tyre pressure up to around 110psi for every ride letting out just a little air to provide extra grip in poor weather. The amount of weight that will be exerted on the tires does play a crucial role in how much pressure you will put on a tire.
I would guess that for you ideal inflation pressure would be 80 90 psi but this may vary depending on your roads riding style and the balance between comfort and performance you find ideal. It may be off only by a few psi for a standard road pressure. For every 10 degree drop in fahrenheit temperature your tire pressure drops by 2 percent such that a drop from 80 to 50 degrees translates to a drop of 100 to 94 psi. You can also use a bike tire pressure chart to find your idyllic tire pressure for your bike.
This is my first time tubeless. According to enduro mountainbike magazine the psi varies if you have tubed or tubeless mountain bike tires. On a new smooth road your best tire pressure might be 100 psi but bring it down to 90 psi for a rough road. So my recommendation for 28mm tires is to experiment with various pressures until you find the sweet spot for your road surfaces and riding style.
