Can latex inner tubes be repaired w a standard repair patch kit.

Can road bike tubes be patched. I repair my mtb 26 tubes easily and they are fine. When iget a road puncture i just swap tubes on the roadside and have 2 tubes at home to. Finally proper patching requires 5 10 minutes for the vulcanising fluid to do its job. So now i only use patches with glue.

I used the pre glued ones but the problem seemed to be that the patch pinched the. They are boasted as being able to withstand an additional three months of abuse after patching. Anywho the patch pinched the tube and was no longer usable. Oh and the patch does not need to be made of latex.
