5 7 here with short legs but the torso and arms of a six footer.

I needed a 60 frame for my legs as the 58 frame needed the seat at the absolute maximum height which wasn t recommneded so got the next size up but put a shorter stem on to bring the reach back a bit. Reach and stack are possibly good ways to compare seemingly dissimilar frames but i ve found they don t really tell you whether the bike is going to fit well or not. I d like to have a broader look at options. Long legs imply a short torso so the reach to the bars becomes excessive. I have long longs and short torso and found the more relaxed geometry bikes to fit better like the giant defy and trek domane.
I m a fan of smallish bikes but size smalls usually feel a little too cramped. I m 6 1 2 tall with a relatively long torso relatively short legs. The roubaix 56 too large. I ended up with the domane.
Sorry for all these long legged people but this is the worst case for achieving an optimum bike fit.
